6/17/26 Practice Plan
The focus is going to be passing
Warm up:
Modified wagon wheel
10 minutes
Lines in either corner, first one in line will carry the puck up to neutral ice face off then drive back, make a pass to the second person in line (give/get pass to the first person) then second person will then support first person in line with puck, make another pass to the line in the opposing corner. Once they receive a pass they will drive down the ice for a 2v0 on the goalie. Making at least three passes in offensive zone prior to shot. Shots missed 10 push ups.
Drill 2
Circle pass drill- dots
10 minutes
Lines at all neutral ice face off dots
Diagonal lines will go with the puck and pass opposite, receive a pass, continue moving around the center face off circle give/get another pass, continue around the circle give/get a pass, then drive the puck down the ice to shoot on net.
Opposite sides going at one time.
Drill 3
Double regroup with pressure
15 minutes
Need 4 defense one in the offensive and defensive zone.
Three forwards on the line with two offensive pressure.
The three forwards will go into the zone the puck is thrown into and begin to break out with defense in that zone, once they have broken the puck out they will pass to the other defense to begin a regroup, once regrouped, they will take the puck to the defense in the breakzone zone regroup with them, once they have the puck they will then take it down into the offensive zone. Play until defense wins or goal is scored.
Drill 4
Scrimmage 5v5 last
15 minutes
Focus on players using time and space with passing.
